About Sio Lubis:
Crafting her own art from the tender age of 13, Sio takes inspiration from everyday life, relationships, and wherever her creativity brings her. Her sounds are heavily influenced by popular genres like R&B, K-Pop, and Soul.
Thanks to her keen interest in experimenting with new and different sounds, her fans are always in for a surprise. Her art is ever-evolving, with hopes to captivate more listeners with Sio who has always been passionate about music. This was further justified when she won the ‘Best Musician Award’ at VOMG 2015 at the age of 17. Sio has also participated in both IGNITE Band Aucditions 2021 and Vans Musicians Wanted 2021, securing spots in the Top 5 for both. Sio hopes to be a voice for the broken, for the lonely ones, for the helpless individuals who yearn to feel needed.
Her debut single, “Stuck Here” was initially written over 15 minutes in the comfort of her bedroom. It was a letter to herself, to be the constant amidst the strong waves. Sio is strongly influenced by foreign artists like CL, (G)-IDLE, BLACKPINK and BIBI. Be prepared to be blown away by her raspy yet soulful voice and her melodic tunes.
Kicking off 2022 with her national television debut for ‘Let’s Celebrate 2022’, Sio continues to excite her listeners. Her EP is currently in the works, which is set to be released in the last quarter of 2022.
